I was surprised to learn that in other countries the uncontrollably giggling toy of choice is TMX Ernie, not TMX Elmo.

In Spain, they have TMX Ernie:

The German one is just frightening.

It seems that despite previous reports, there just might be a big TMX Elmo shortage. As you can see on eBay, a search for TMX Elmo auctions will bring up a huge number of results, most going for at least double or more than the retail price for the laughing doll.
