Coming just in time for the movie release is this fantastically cool toy that will make your voice sound just like Peter Cullen! No word on price, but even those that are cautiously optimistic about Bay’s interpretation of the iconic 80’s characters (myself included) can not deny the wicked look of this helmet.

You’ll still have to wear your cardboard armor but the head will look sweet!

Prepare your Legos for War

While I’ve always been more of an Erector man, these cool little weapon add-ons for Lego by BrickArms are making me want to go buy a set.

Lego RPG

The sniper rifle is by far my favourite.

They also have some custom Minifigs if you don’t think your current Lego crew are up to packing such realistic heat.

Wonder if they’ll release a series of realistically battle wounded Minifigs next.

Play Tetris Even When the Power Goes Out

Posted in Gadgets for Kids, Gaming Gadgets by Eric on February 14th, 2007

It’s a shame (or a blessing?) that I don’t have kids, because I’d always be buying then random junk like these huge plush Tetris blocks.

Big Soft Tetris Blocks
But how do you make complete lines disappear?

Here’s the link to the catalog from which you can order them. I wonder if the long straight ones are always out of stock…

Damn, now I want to play some Tetris. I guess this flash clone will suffice.

Clean Your Kids with Slime

Posted in Gadgets for Kids by Eric on February 4th, 2007

Do you have a hard time getting your kids to take a bath? Do they act like you’re trying to dip them in a bathtubfull of acid instead of water?

Gelli Baff might be able to help you turn them around to the clean side.

Gelli Baff in Action
Bathe your kids in a goopy mess!

I’m sure kids would love that, but just imagine the other possibilities. Watching strippers wrestle in mud or Jello is so played out, not to mention unhygienic. Gelli Baff could revolutionize explicit stripper sports with its filthy cleansing properties.

Someone needs to email the makers and tell them they’re marketing the product to the wrong demographic.

Do Electric Guinea Pigs Dream of Digital Carrots?

Posted in Cool Inventions, Gadgets for Kids by Ryan on December 19th, 2006

He walks, he runs, he hides, he eats, and he’s looking for your affection. He’s Gupi, the latest in the never ending advances in digital pet companionship. Lightyears ahead of those damn Tamagochi that kept refusing to eat and dying, this furry critter uses sensors to map your living dwelling and run around, hides if you ignore it, must be feed a “magic carrot”, and will interact with other Gupis if they are introduced. He’s soft too!

This little critter will set you back approximately $70, but that is a steal compared to the upkeep of a real guinea pig, who will just sleep and poop. This one makes thirty different sounds!

Wal-Mart Hoarding TMX Elmo

elmo

Have Wal-mart and Amazon been stocking up on TMX Elmos the past few months in hopes of being this year’s holiday retail hero?

Amazon had 2000 available for their Holiday Customer Votes promotion and now Wal-mart announces they have 16,000 available.

Whether they’ve been hoarding them, lost them in a warehouse for the last few months, or pressured Fisher-Price in to submitting to their wholesale buying power will we never know.

But if you are still searching for this red furball Wal-Mart will be selling 4000 per DAY for the rest of this week exclusively on their website. Don’t bother going to your local store, most likely they won’t have any.

Sale starts at 12PM NOON EST Tues-Friday. They are priced at $39.97 + shipping. You can only buy one per order and they are available first come, first serve. If you missed out today tune your browser to Wal-mart.com tomorrow and have your typing fingers ready.

Elmo Crime

Posted in Gadgets for Kids by Eric on November 6th, 2006

Seems TMX Elmos are so popular that they are inciting people to steal entire shipments of the maniacally laughing doll.

Lurking Elmo

I wonder if any of those TMX Elmo auctions on eBay are for stolen goods.
