The Jacket For The Person Who Has Everything

Posted in Wearable Gadgets by Ryan on November 29th, 2006

As more and more small electronic devices flood the market that become indespensible to their owners, the problem of transporting everything becomes an increasing problem. The folks over at Brookstone have come up with an innovative design to help you become a techno-enhanced bionic woman or a six-million dollar man. This jacket features 12 carry pockets for MP3 players, cell phones, PDA, video games and whatever else you can fit, plus an intricate routing system within the jacket’s lining that keeps the wires from dangling. There is also a water bottle holder, because with all that extra weight, you’re going to work up a sweat!

Holiday Travel Gets A Wake-Up Call

Posted in Neato Gadgets, Cool Inventions by Ryan on November 28th, 2006

As we head into the busy holiday travel time and long hours on the road, the possibility of falling asleep behind the wheel becomes an ever growing threat.  However, a new device on the market, The Drive Alert Master II, could save your life.  Here is their blurb:

The Drive Alert Master II works like a splash of cold water in the middle of the night. You’re behind the wheel late at night after a long day. Your eyes begin to grow heavy as oncoming headlights lull you into a state of drowsiness. And then without warning you fall asleep at the wheel. Luckily this scenario doesn’t have to end in tragedy as so often happens. That’s because the Drive Alert will help keep you awake until you arrive safely at your destination. Drive Alert’s ergonomic design is comfortable, east to use and operates on low battery consumption. It’s also popular with truck drivers who spend many long hours on our nation’s highways. Just turn it on, adjust the wake up angle switch and place it behind your ear. When you begin to doze off and your head slumps forward, the Drive Alert will emit a LOUD, powerful BEEPING sound to wake you up. Using the Drive Alert could save the lives of you and your loved ones. And it may be the best safety device your car never had.

We here at 2BlogGadgets care about your safety.  If you’re dead, you can’t read our future postings.

Tell Time Like a Spy

Posted in Neato Gadgets, Worthy Sites by Eric on November 26th, 2006

The Watchismo Times (rhymes with machismo) has an interesting post about the watches used in James Bond movies over the years. The watches are listed chronologically, along with a short description and even a video clips of some of the timepieces being used in their respective movies.

My favourite is the laser emitting Omega Seamaster from Goldeneye.

My reason is not because of the movie, though, but because it was also featured as a usable weapon in the classic Nintendo 64 game Goldeneye 007.

When Your Guitar Skills Alone Won’t Kill The Audience…

Posted in Neato Gadgets by Ryan on November 22nd, 2006

Over the course of the guitar’s lifespan, there have been plenty of awe-inspiring shapes and forms it has taken on, from the axe-shaped bass of Gene Simmons, to the multi-necked guitar in Cheap Trick.  Now, from Japan, comes this monster, which comes in at just under 80,000 Yen:

Blender Abuse

What could get me to drop $400 on a blender?

Follow the image link and you’ll be subjected to a series of videos containing some pure appliance madness that have me lusting after my very own Blendtech Total Blender.

Blendtech Total Blender
Will it blend?!

My favourite videos is definitely the one where they try to blend a handful of marbles. I love his warning about not breathing in the resulting glass dust as it billows out everywhere.

If you’re curious to see what else this bladed beast can pulverize, you can also check for video updates at Will It Blog?
